DBS Checks: Need help completing the process?

We can help you out, whether you need a basic, standard or enhanced criminal check.

For a basic DBS check, you can easily apply via the Gov.uk website.

If your employer has asked you to obtain an enhanced DBS check, you can begin the process by bringing some original documents into your Cheadle Post Office branch.

You may need a standard or enhanced DBS check if your employer needs a level of assurance that you’re suitable for a certain job – such as an accountant, legal assistant, or if you’ve applied for a job working with children or vulnerable adults.

You can now use your pictures – on your passport, your driving licence, your international driving permit, or your photo ID card.
